Joining the Norwegian Dream
in Dover, England
Here we are on our day joining the ship in Dover, England. The Norwegian Dream
is a 50,000 ton ship with nearly 1,800 passengers and about 800 crew on-board.
We were extremely jet-lagged and it took nearly a week to get our personal clocks in
order. Long naps don't help when you are trying to get on a normal sleeping schedule, but
we couldn't help it. |

St. Petersburg, Russia
One of the most unique places we visit is Russia where few
people speak English and our miming skills are put to the test just to order food and buy things.
This is the square behind the Winter Palace or Hermitage where the Russian Revolution began. It's an amazing
building and nearly all of St. Petersburg is made up of buildings with this style...there are no modern
structures anywhere and instead they have been restoring all the major buildings for the anniversary
of St. Petersburg next year. It will look beautiful when they finish...Right now it's somewhat "under construction".

Charles & Bob Cates in Russia
This is me and Bob Cates, a juggler I met on Holland America about a year ago. It was a nice
surprise to be working together on another ship.
I'm six foot, but Bob has quite a few inches on me...so I'm on my toes to match up to his height.
We had a great day checking out the sights in the city. |

Hard Rock Cafe in Copenhagen, Denmark
We enjoyed a great night in Tivoli Gardens and a great meal at Hard Rock Cafe.
We celebrated the wedding anniversary of the dance team on the Dream....Samantha and Clive Keay. They worked on the ship last year and it was a great pleasure to see them here again this year.

Sunrise in Denmark
This beautiful sunrise was what we saw coming back from a night out in Copenhagen.
The Little Mermaid is a famous landmark here in the city because of the famous story by Hans Christian Anderson who hails from Copenhagen.

Meeting Justin and Sophie in Finland
We had a great day meeting Liz's brother and his fiance in Finland.
Sophie is from Finland and was able to share more about the food, people and city with us. We ate sweet peas from the pod, had beers, and shopped. A great day all around.

Ship
docked in Sweden
Caught a photo of our ship docked in Sweden seen between two buildings.
The buildings are part of what is called Old Town. With cobblestone streets, sidewalk cafes, and a old feel...it truly is a wonderful place to explore.

Marionette street show in Oslo, Norway
Just happened to find one of many street performers was working with marionettes. We caught this photo of his performance.
His marionette played the mini grand piano to a taped soundtrack. Very fun to watch.

Liar's
Club
Here's our group of performers this cruise after the Liar's Club game show.
The show is hosted by Dottie our cruise director and the audience has to decide who is lying about definitions for words.
Our panel included Tom Drake (comedian), Ken Lucas (ventriloquist), Lee Bayles (comedian), Jay J. Downs (amazing musician), and me. We had some fun with a duck puppet
we bought in Russia that looked just like the character Ken uses in his act.

Bert & Howie's Excellent Adventure
Liz and I hung out with two performers from Las Vegas this cruise...Bert & Howie...jugglers called 'On the Edge'.
They are fun and funny people and we learned from them how to drink many beers and enjoy the sights of the city.
