REHEARSALS ON THE DREAM

After joining the ship on December 6th, I immediately went to work teaching the choreography and magic to Gwen and Charlene from the production show cast.

Here´s a rehearsal for the Sword Box routine where Gwen has swords thrust through her and me stepping on her while she is stuffed into a tiny box.

NEW YEARS ON THE DREAM

Here´s a picture from our New Year´s celebration at sea. Gwen and Charlene had a moment to pose for this picture between all the dancing in Dazzle´s Disco.

NEW YEARS ON THE DREAM

Tom Drake, our comedian and Dottie Kulasa, our cruise director brought in 2003 with style. I´m trying out a new wig for the show.

THE FALKLAND ISLANDS

John, Charlotte, Charlene are all performers in the Jean Ann Ryan cast. Together we tried to order fish and chips at the only Pub in town on the island. They ran out and we had chicken nuggets instead.

This was my first time visiting this famous place known for a war fought over it. After visiting the island...we are not sure what the fuss was about. It is quite small, very remote, and limited in supply of most everything. But, now I can say that I´ve been there.

PENGUINS IN PUERTO MADRYN, ARGENTINA

I met up with some of the cutest little guys dressed in formal wear after a 2 hour car ride through some of the dustiest roads ever travelled on in a car that was barely held together. Tom Drake called it a "toaster with wheels".

It was worth it, though. And I got to take this photo with a baby penguin. Wow, they are cute!

BOWLING IN CHILE

When performers get together to do normal things...it is never normal. From left to right is Peter Fernandez (singer), Jason MacPherson (silent comedian/mime), Charlene Wong (dancer), me, and Christian Miro (tango dancer, plate spinner, and magician).

We had a great time bowling in a Rock n' Roll bowling alley that played great music and everything was lit by blacklights. Very cool. Christian ended up beating us all. Lucky, I guess.

CHACABUCO, CHILE

This place is just beautiful. The snow-capped mountains, tree-filled scenery, georgeous waterfalls, and nice people made this stop worthwhile. It felt a lot like Alaska in many ways.

USHUAIA, ARGENTINA

I believe this is one of my favorite stops in South America. After taking the ski lift up on a 20 minute ride, you can continue hiking up this mountain to a glacier right at the top.

I've climbed this mountain three times now and the last time went almost all the way to the top where a group of us slid on the glacier and I shot some footage for my Around the World magic video coming out soon.

PUNTA ARENAS, CHILE

I discovered a new favorite dish called Centolla Parmeseana...or King Crab Parmesean. The best place to get it is in Punta Arenas, Chile. Once you've tried it...you will crave it.
Pictured here is Ken without his Duck and Luis and Lucia who are two of the most talented musicians I've seen in a long time. Her voice and his skills on a guitar create such beautiful music. I've listened to their CD about 60 times.
